Involvement
The Chamber has several signature events every year and within these
events are many volunteering opportunities. It is only through our
chamber volunteers that we continue to support our business community.
Every year the auction, golf tournament, Concours and Sustainable
September offer many ways to get involved in your Chamber and community.

The Chamber also maintains committees members may serve on as a way to
pursue its mission of providing leadership necessary for a favorable
business climate.
Ambassadors
Ambassadors attend business grand openings, ribbon cutting ceremonies,
and serve as the official welcoming group at Chamber events such as
Business after Hours, Membership Luncheon and Networking Luncheon.
Ambassadors welcome new members by delivering plaques and greeting at
networking events. Chair: Craig Gaudry.
Public Policy
This committee works with city and state government on issues that
affect business, meeting on a monthly basis. Its members participate in
the East King County Chambers of Commerce Legislative Coalition. The
Coalition presents position papers to the Legislature on issues facing
business. Chair: Joe Coakley.
Annual Gala Auction
The Gala is the Chamber’s main fund-raising event and is an annual
elegant affair that consists of a silent & live auction, dinner and a
‘raise the paddle’ charity. The objective of the Gala committee is to
assist in the planning, preparation and execution of the fancy social
event. Chair: Amber Libenson.
